Lost Suitcase in Istanbul? How a Traveler Recovered Her Bag and Received It at Her Hotel
When family belongings are left behind, the delivery plan can change along with the traveller's itinerary. Montha Koseni began by asking about an overseas return, then arranged to receive her recovered suitcase during a stay in Istanbul.

An Istanbul problem managed from abroad
Montha contacted Ana Kurye on 4 October 2026 about a red suitcase already found by IGA at Istanbul Airport. The bag weighed around 10 kg and held her mother's and younger brother's clothing and shoes. She needed someone in Istanbul to coordinate the practical steps while she was outside Turkey.
Messages initially focused on a possible return to Israel. Jordan later became another option under consideration. Exploring those routes helped the customer decide what was practical; neither became the final destination.
Getting the suitcase out of airport custody
The customer worked on the authorization documents during 6–7 October. IGA advised that the paperwork was complete and release was subject to the customs officer's approval. The suitcase was collected on 9 October.
This was an independent collection arrangement. Ana Kurye did not act as IGA's official representative, and the airport retained responsibility for accepting the paperwork and authorizing release.
When a hotel handover became the better option
The cost of the international option prompted further discussion. Montha mentioned a possible trip to Istanbul and decided that she wanted the suitcase delivered within Turkey instead.
On 12 October, she requested Darkhill Hotel. The service could now be organized around a local destination and her stay, rather than a parcel travelling across borders. The airport pickup and the final handover were different stages of the same request.

Working around the customer's departure
Poor weather on 15 October brought restrictions affecting motorcycle courier operations. With the customer due to leave her hotel the next day, the team organized delivery for that day despite the complication.
The suitcase reached the customer at the Istanbul hotel, and she sent an appreciative message after receiving it. There was no completed shipment to Israel or Jordan. The photos of a motorcycle show preparation, not proof of how the final journey was made during the restrictions.

The red suitcase through the local handling stages
The available photographs follow the airport collection and transport-preparation stages. The later suitcase image includes a Beso Roof Top sign, so it is described without claiming that the photograph identifies Darkhill Hotel. Exact image timestamps and a separate private thank-you-message image were not provided.

The customer's own words
Montha's public review thanks the team for helping her get the suitcase back and highlights the support she received from Özlem. Her words are reproduced below with a link to the Google review.
